Our Warranty

Premium Eyeglass One-Year
Unconditional Warranty

Today’s premium vision products really make a difference in clearer, sharper eyesight. That’s why Kaiser Permanente’s best vision products are backed by an unconditional warranty at no charge. Our warranty:

  • Replaces your eyewear one-time at no charge for up to a full year from the original date of delivery.
  • Covers your frames and lenses for any type of defect, breakage or scratches for one year from the date of delivery.

What does “premium” mean?

Premium is defined as a complete frame and lens purchase that includes digital single vision or digital progressive lenses. Please ask your optician for details.

How do I use this warranty?

Bring all parts of the eyewear and your receipt to a Kaiser Permanente optical shop within the warranty period. Please plan to leave your glasses with us. If the original frame is no longer available, it will be replaced with a similar frame style of equal value.

Is anything excluded?

The warranty does not cover lost or stolen eyeglasses. That’s about it.

Unconditional Warranty Upgrade

Most other complete (frame and lens) eyeglass purchases may be upgraded to the One-Year Unconditional Warranty for just $30. You’ll get the same unconditional full-year warranty, so your eyeglass investment is covered whether you need a repair or replacement.

*ACE Pair purchases and safety frames do not qualify for the warranty upgrade.

Unlimited free cleanings and adjustments

To help maintain your glasses, your lenses have been given a scratch-resistant coating, free of charge. We’re happy to clean and adjust your glasses free to keep them fitting properly for as long as you own them. Just stop into the nearest Kaiser Permanente optical shop.

This warranty covers eyeglass purchases as of September 2, 2013. Frames and lenses purchased prior to September 2, 2013 remain covered under the previous "One-year replacement warranty." Please talk to a Kaiser Permanente optician about your warranty or email KPWA.eyecare@kp.org.
