Insurance Benefits

Using your vision benefits or flexible spending dollars can help maximize your eyewear savings.

You can use them together and for more than just prescription
eyeglasses—they often cover prescription sunglasses and contact
lenses too.

So take a moment to learn what your vision benefits and FSA account covers. Then enjoy using them at a Kaiser Permanente optical shop to update your look and see your best.

Kaiser Permanente members

Conveniently find out what eye care services are covered by your Kaiser Permanente plan:

Not a member?

No problem. Many health plans cover care provided at Kaiser Permanente facilities. Ask your insurer. Kaiser Permanente membership is not required to take advantage of many of our savings offers, like this one for Federal Employees and U.S. Military . Nonmembers are responsible for full payment at time of service. You will be provided a receipt that can be filed with your insurer.

Kaiser Permanente staff

Find information about your optical benefits on our member website or Employee Self-Service on Connection. Also learn about special optical discounts on Connection. Under the Pay and Benefits tab, select Staff Discounts then look for Eye Care under "Health & Wellness."

Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible Spending Accounts

If you participate in a flexible spending account (FSA), you may be able to use those dollars to purchase new prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. Plan early and check your FSA for details.
